Moving from one home to another can seem overwhelming. There are so many things to consider, from shutting down one set of utilities and getting started with the next, painting, rearranging, trying to get adjusted to a new neighborhood and if you have children, getting them settled into their new school. All of this is time consuming and stressful. Then comes moving day and you may be completely undone by the huge number of boxes stacked in every room of your new home.

You may be hesitant to wade into the ocean of boxes because you fear you will never be able to finish unpacking and finding a good place for everything. The last thing you may be thinking about is what to do with all of those boxes once you have emptied them, but they will have to go somewhere. So , just what are you going to do with all of those empty boxes?

Recycling Works

Of course, you could simply throw all of those boxes away, but that is not your best solution, First of all, that simply moves the problem from one place to another. Now instead of the boxes being stacked in your rooms, they are piled up outside, waiting for garbage day. Second, the number of plastic garbage bags you will need to hold all of those boxes is itself detrimental to the environment.

The real truth of the mater is that people really don’t “need” automatic pool cleaners. Thats right! Prior to their being invented, pool owners simply used a screen and a brush on the end of a long pole to keep heavy debris out of their pools and the sides clean.

Cleaning Your Pool Manually

The problem is that it is an awkward somewhat difficult task to perform and it has to be done on a regular schedule. Also an hour a day every few days adds up to well over a hundred hours a week and for most people time is money.

One Of the Best Deals Out There

So in the end, spending hundreds of dollars on robotic automatic pool cleaners that do the work for free for easily over a decade is one of the best deals going out there. But by far the best deal is one of the suction-side pool cleaners that can be easily picked up for less that $100.

When adding your hot tub chemicals to your hot tub you want to make sure that you read the directions carefully so you don’t add too much. They will guide you on how to check the chemicals in your hot tub and what to do if you need to add more. There is a strip that you will have to dip into the water that will tell you what you need to know. If you do not have these strips you can go to a local hot tub store and they will explain how to use them and guide you on how often to check your water with them.

Are There Safer Ways – Other Than Chemicals.

There are other ways but it still is a chemical, just not very harmful. One it is your basic salt water {Sodium}. It will help keep bacteria from forming but it does take more maintenance. The best choice is to use is bromine because it does not have a scent to it, so you do not have the chlorine smell. Some people are also allergic to the chlorine, so they choose bromine as an alternative. More »

If you are a pet owner, chances are that your cat or dog has had at least one accident. Urine, feces and vomit stains are par for the course if you are the owner of an untrained puppy or kitten. There are many ways to prevent pet stains and odor and the wise pet owner will search out information on good house-breaking and litter-training techniques. The diet and health of your cat or dog are also a strong part of the equation. Responsible pet owners are those who are willing to visit and consult with a veterinarian on a regular basis to ensure they are taking the necessary steps to maintain the health of their pets.

When accidents happen, it is important to remove as much of the solid matter as possible. A large metal spatula without holes set aside for only this purpose is an invaluable and inexpensive removal tool. Make sure to label the spatula for pet use only so that it doesn’t find itself in the general population of your kitchen utensils! For vomit and feces, the spatula is effective in scraping the solid matter off in an efficient way. Make sure to have a plastic garbage bag handy to dump the mess into. This method works well even for watery messes and can prevent a lot of matter from soaking into carpeting or rugs.

The next step in pet stain removal is to try to absorb or suction up the liquid matter left over from messier feces or vomit and from urination accidents. To effectively absorb liquid from carpeting or rugs, the best method is to use an old towel or several thicknesses of paper toweling or toilet paper. Layering a plastic bag over the towels or toilet paper protects your hand or foot from becoming soiled when pressing the area to wick up the liquid. It is recommended that fresh towels or toilet paper be applied again and pressed into the spot until the majority of the liquid has been absorbed. The other method of liquid removal is to literally suck it up with a wet-dry vacuum cleaner or a carpet extractor/carpet cleaner.

Creating a Beach Theme Bedroom
Some people just can’t stand the thought of summer being over! If you are one of those people, then try creating your very own beach-theme bedroom, to enjoy for the entire year. When transforming your bedroom into a beach-theme, keep in mind the simple things in life. Adding too many nautical items will only clutter the room. Think of how a beach would look; simple, airy and relaxing.
You want to create a simple and relaxed atmosphere, as if you were just relaxing on a beach or island somewhere. A few simple ideas and easy tricks will have you on your way to a tropical paradise in your room.

Wall treatments
Use colours that will relax and soothe. Pastel shades of green, blue, yellow and beige are fabulous choices to use on the walls. Adding a bit of bold with black or dark wood frames is also a nice touch with these colours. Choose basic wallpaper or do it yourself with a faux wall idea. Using sponges and textured fabrics to paint with will create this look wonderfully!

Window Treatments
Use light and airy window treatments that stay very basic. Remember, you are supposed to be at the beach! Imagine the curtains blowing in the wind. An easy and affordable solution for this is to use tab-top or tie back curtains and panels. Wooden rods will work beautifully with tab-top curtains. You can leave them as unfinished or pine wood or maybe get creative by painting them white or a match to your wall treatments.
